Two new playgrounds arrive in County Ulster
It’s time to get out there and breathe that fresh air. The kids of the Hudson Valley should be excited as there are more playgrounds coming to County Ulster!
One thing I’ve learned as a parent is that if you ask your kids if they want to go to the park or the playground, they’re usually going to say yes. Most of the time it is my children who ask if we can go to the playground. Public playgrounds are a great thing to have in your city or town. This allows children to have time to run, which, even though they were cut last year, is exactly what they need. It also allows parents to take a break and enjoy the scenery while the kids run, jump and swing.
In his weekly newsletter to residents, Kingston Mayor Steve Noble announced that there are currently two playgrounds under construction in Kingston. New playgrounds are being built at Barmann Park on Greenkill Avenue and Rickel Knox Park on Gill Street. The parks are still under construction, as they will have a cast rubber surface in place before they open to the public.
Playgrounds are definitely getting more chic these days. Equipped with all those great things to play on and rubber surfaces to help prevent injury. It’s not a bad time to be a kid. I remember getting burned on that super tall, hot lava metal slide we had when I was younger.
Kingston will provide more information on the new playgrounds in the coming weeks.
