Preston Park Rockery is a fantastic place to explore for free with the kids. It is said to be the largest municipal rock garden in the country. It’s also directly across from the park, so an easy way to keep busy in the fresh air for a few hours.
Tucked away below Brighton Main Station on Trafalgar Street is the Brighton Toy and Model Museum, full of toys and models from yesteryear. From dolls and bears to Lego and Meccano, there are over 60 exhibits and the heart of the museum is its central 1930s Model 0 railway layout. The museum is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
