The first reviews of the newly announced LEGO Marvel 76178 Daily Bugle are already starting to appear online, confirming that the vast Spider-Man set is just as amazing as it looks.

Rumored for months and finally revealed today, 76178 Daily Bugle marks a milestone for the LEGO Group: Not only is it the largest Marvel set ever made by number of pieces (weighing 3,772 bricks), but it’s is also the largest (82 cm) and includes the greatest number of figurines seen in all the superheroes of which the number is 25.

It sounds great on paper, then, and looks even better in our extensive gallery of official images. Now a handful of critics, including a former LEGO designer Tiago Catarino have already started posting in-depth verdicts on the £ 274.99 / $ 299.99 / € 299.99 set online, giving us a first look at how the model combines.

Tiago’s review, for example, shows many finer details of the set, including the Rat Saving the Universe from Avengers: Endgame, a printed nod to Wilson Fisk, and Technic Connection Points. that allow it to be integrated into a modular construction line-up (or a larger LEGO city map).

The YouTuber also points out a few of the set’s flaws, including a long sheet of stickers, the unnecessary Spider vehicle, and a repetitive building. But in his view, they cannot stand in the way of an ensemble that would otherwise live up to all the titles claimed.

“If we take the silly buggy, 30 stickers, and repetitive glass builds out of the equation, the Daily Bugle is a great set – dare I say probably the best LEGO Marvel inspired set the LEGO Group has ever produced.” , summarizes Tiago.

Check out the full review in the video above. 76178 Daily Bugle will launch on May 26 for VIPs, before a wider release on June 1.
