We all now know that if you are looking for the unpredictability, chaos and sheer weirdness of football, the EFL is the place to go. This season has kicked off some pretty spicy storylines, and it hasn’t even started yet.
Take Derby, with Wayne Rooney making some… unfortunate titles off the field and injuring his own players. Then there’s the swirling vortex of chaos that is Swansea City, after Steve Cooper left on the eve of the new campaign because he just couldn’t guarantee… And of course Swindon Town, with all that. is happening there.
By the time this begins, there will be countless more weirdness stories to crop up, and that doesn’t even take into account that, despite what people might tell you, football is pretty darn good under the Premier League. With 72 clubs now ready and ready (well, some of them… in fact, probably not many of them) to start over, our team of EFL experts have been thinking and making some predictions for the coming season. Feel free to give your opinion in the comments, but… be gentle, please? It’s a long season ahead …
