The Big Midwest Rail Show takes place at the DuPage County Fairgrounds
WHEATON, IL – Hundreds of model trains will travel through tiny landscapes on Sunday for the annual Great Midwest Train Show at DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton. The One-Day Train Show is a favorite with model train collectors and enthusiasts across the country and features interactive demonstrations and model trains that kids can learn to drive.
More than 500 model train tables, parts and props are expected to fill five buildings across the exhibition grounds for this highly anticipated event. Collectors will have the chance to collect rare trains and other hard-to-find items, according to event organizers.
Exhibitors from across the United States will showcase their own model trains and host educational workshops for adults and children. A Lego train display will also be featured at the event.
Kids can play with a direct current control model train system and learn how to build their own. As well as having thousands of items for sale, the Train Show will also be handing out door prizes, so there’s a lot of chance to bring home a train of your choice.
