Legend has it that the Jersey Devil haunted the Pine Barrens for centuries, soaring stealthily through the woods in the darkness of night before attacking its prey. According to the park’s statement, modern folklore places this beast near the theme park’s Great Lake, with its threatening, curly horns manifesting under a full moon.
The park statement says there are historic ‘Easter eggs’ that the designers of Six Flags incorporated into the design of the Jersey Devil entrance and queue.
