Seminole State announces 2020-2021 speaker series

Seminole State College of Florida has announced the lineup for its 2020-2021 speaker series, which will include two virtual presentations.
The Innocence Project of Florida, October 15.
The Innocence Project of Florida is a nonprofit organization working to find and free innocent people wrongly incarcerated in Florida and help them adjust to their new lives outside of prison. Representatives of the organization will discuss their mission to help innocent prisoners gain their freedom and rebuild their lives. They will be joined by exonerates James Bain and Nathan Myers who will share their story and the impact of their wrongful convictions.
The virtual presentation will include a question-and-answer session.

In partnership with the 32nd Annual Zora Neale Hurston ™ Festival of the Arts and Humanities (ZORA! ™ Festival), the College will host Dr. Regina N. Bradley, Assistant Professor of English and African Diaspora Studies at Kennesaw State University and author of “Boondock Kollage: Southern Hip Hop Stories.” ”
Using historical, spectral, and hip-hop-steeped fiction, Dr Bradley will discuss issues of race, place and identity in the post-civil rights southern United States to question the intersections of regionalism and black culture in present-day American society.
The presentation will include a question and answer session.
