Reimagine the story of Red Riding Hood with LEGO Rebuild the World
The LEGO Group has reconstructed a classic fairy tale as part of their ongoing campaign, with Red Riding Hood no longer falling into the towers of the Big Bad Wolf.
It looks like the LEGO Group is broadening its horizons with the Rebuild the World program as a new video evolves a piece of fiction, giving Little Red Riding Hood’s tale a touch of wit.
Owners of 21315 Pop-Up Book may recognize the construction used at the start of the video below, as a printed element replaces the “ Once Upon a Brick ” design with a new fairytale-themed title. While we may never get to see this brick in its physical form, we wonder if interchangeable covers have ever been on the table for the LEGO Ideas set.
The rest of the video plays out exactly as you wouldn’t expect, from Red Riding Hood recognizing the wolf at every turn, to the grandmother working with wood while listening to dramatic documentaries.
The original 21315 pop-up book included Red Riding Hood as one of two stories to portray overall, but it shouldn’t be too hard to turn it into this modern take on if you want to.
Unfortunately, 21315 Pop-Up Book has retired, so if you want to recreate the fairy tale for yourself, you might have to wait and see if the model makes a comeback as 92176 NASA Apollo Saturn V.
