Lego Super Mario adds 16 additional sets in 2021 • Eurogamer.net
It won’t be Cheep Cheep.
Lego will release 16 more Super Mario sets in 2021.
This second wave will include a new customization set, three expansions, two new power-up combinations, and 10 character packs.
Perhaps most interesting is the Master Your Adventure Maker Set, which Lego describes as a “creative toolbox”. It’s designed to let you customize the layout of existing sets and adds a new starter tip that changes the rules displayed on your interactive Mario toy.
All three new expansions for next year are themed around more familiar Mario enemies: the Chain Chomp Jungle Encounter Expansion Set, the Piranha Plant Puzzling Challenge Expansion Set, and Wiggler’s Poison Swamp Expansion Set. .
You can also dress Mario up as Penguin Mario and Tanooki Mario.
Finally, the second series of character packs will include blind boxes for Huckit Crab (deep breathing), Spiny Cheep Cheep, Ninji, Foo, Parachute Goomba, Fly Guy, Poison Mushroom, Para-Beetle, Thwimp or a Bone Goomba.
As always, you’ll need the main Mario Starter course set with its interactive Mario toy in order to get the most out of these upcoming additions.
There is no pricing yet for the 2021 versions, although existing sets in the range range from around £ 20 to £ 90 each. Bonus suits cost £ 9 each, while character packs are sold in blind bags for £ 3.50.
We broke down the entire Super Mario Lego launch lineup and found it cost at least £ 500 for one of everything.
âTwo of the world’s biggest toy makers meet in the middle with Lego Super Mario,â Oli Welsh wrote in his review of the Lego Super Mario line. “It’s a hybrid – fascinating and fun, but one that can only indicate the sheer joy of the originals.”
