LEGO Boutique Hotel celebrates 15 years of modular buildings
Every December, the LEGO Group unveils a new addition to their long-standing Modular City building theme. Today we finally get our first official look at what coming next year to the collection will look like. Celebrating 15 years of sets in the line, the next LEGO Boutique Hotel Modular arrives with over 3,000 pieces while assembling a dynamic build that pays homage to the last decade and a half of kits.
LEGO launches new Boutique Hotel set
Arrived as last lego modular building, 2022 will see the launch of a new Boutique Hotel. This time, everything rests on a 32 x 32 plinth and assembles a three-story hotel. The set can hold up to 3,066 pieces and is furnished inside and out with the kind of detail we’ve come to expect from the theme, with many unique building techniques and partial uses dotted around.
Spread in five different sections, you will find various features such as bedrooms, a penthouse suite, a hall and a terrace. On the left side there is an art gallery which is complemented by all the other unique elements of the set.
The Boutique Hotel will also team up with the rest of your modular kits, with a sidewalk out front to create a bustling city. This is a corner building only, giving you additional variety in setting up a layout with multiple of these sets. You also get seven minifigures to properly equip the Boutique Hotel, including a bell boy, receptionist, coffee vendor, guests, and other staff.
Today’s Boutique Hotel announcement also celebrates the 15th anniversary of the LEGO Modular Collection next year. Over the years, builders have been able to put everything together, from bookstores and garages to diners, banks and restaurants.
launch on January 1
Joining the rest of the 2022 LEGO collection next year, the new Boutique Hotel will be available for purchase starting January 1. $ 199.99 price tag. It also matches all other LEGO modular buildings from the past.
Taking from 9to5Toys
After this year Dull police headquarters, it’s great to see the LEGO Group making a notable addition to the Modular Collection for 2022. I love how unique it is compared to anything we’ve seen from the lineup in the past, which is particularly suitable for the 15th anniversary modular LEGO range.
In the meantime, check out some of the existing sets in the collection. Some are also expected to retire by the end of the year. So if taking over the hotel next year marks the start of your own LEGO town planning, you might as well pick up a few of the the older ones before it’s too late.
