LEGO Batman sets let you build the new Batmobile, Batcycle and Batcave
Here is one of the largest sets of the first wave of LEGO products from “The Batman”. It’s the new Batcave, albeit in a game-friendly creation that doesn’t fully reveal where the Caped Crusader’s lair will be this time around. However, it’s rather interesting that the arcade points to Wayne Terminus. Could it be an abandoned train terminal that has been turned into a Batcave? Otherwise, it would be weird to have such a secret place with a name like this so that anyone could stumble upon it.
If you look at the details of the set, you’ll see that Batman is on the hunt for The Riddler. But given the name of the set, one wonders if The Riddler will infiltrate the Batcave at some point in the film. It would not be the first time. Speaking of The Riddler, there’s a cool little letter that has a message that will be revealed when the red lens magnifier is held over it. Additionally, you’ll see that Batman discovered a familiar pattern while watching where The Riddler left notes around Gotham City.
Another interesting detail is that Batman apparently has another alter ego who isn’t Bruce Wayne. Instead, he disguises himself as “The Drifter,” and there is a figure of this variation of Bruce Wayne in this set. We are certainly interested to see how he succeeds without anyone recognizing him.
Here is the official product description from LEGO:
The Batcave is equipped with computers, tools and welding equipment for vehicle repairs. The 2 side walls, one with a large GOTHAM CITY ™ map and the other with a tool holder, are hinged so they can be turned into different positions for more play space. The set includes 6 minifigures from the movie The Batman: Batman, Selina Kyle ™, The Riddler, The Drifter, Alfred and Commissioner Gordon. 3 items containing coded messages from The Riddler can only be read when kids use the special magnifying glass to reveal the clues. When Batman ventures out on his motorcycle, he can disguise himself as his alter ego, The Drifter. And, if he returns with villains, the Batcave even has his own prison. The playset also allows the Batmobile ™ from Batmobile: The Penguin ™ Chase (76181, not included) to be driven up the ramps ready for repair.
The set is available for pre-order for $ 79.99 and will ship on November 1, 2021.
