Interest in Wroxham Miniature World is growing
You could describe it as a “model attraction”.
Wroxham Miniature World, based in Station Road West, Hoveton, claims to be the country’s largest indoor modeling center with some of the world’s largest model trains on permanent display.
And its manager, Robert Green, 31, said interest in model trains and toys of all kinds has exploded since the start of the pandemic as many people have found more time for their leisure time.
Mr Green said: “There has been a strong uptake since the lockdowns started. Hornby [model railways] said their sales have skyrocketed and we see a lot of people coming here looking for inspiration. “
Mr Green said when his father, Sean Green, opened the site in 2012, it was aimed at enthusiasts, but families now made up most of their visitors.
