Each new LEGO CITY set will launch on January 1, 2021

An impressive range of 20 new LEGO CITY sets are now officially available on LEGO.com. The Wave contains an interesting mix of familiar and fresh sets to spice up your town plan.

The usual blue light services are strongly represented with seven sets devoted to police and fire operations. LEGO Police have land, sea and sky covered with their fleet of response vehicles, 60,275 police helicopters, 60,276 police prisoner transport and 60,277 police patrol boat. The fire department is currently limited to the road and the sky with a range of fire trucks, a motorcycle and a helicopter, although a fire patrol boat will surely follow later in the year.

An exciting innovation of this range is the introduction of an all new road plate system. The printed baseplates that have served LEGO cities since the 1970s have been phased out. In their place is a new system of brick-based road plates.

The new road network can be found in three of the new complexes: 60291 Family House, 60292 Town Center and 60306 Shopping Street. Additional road elements to expand your city’s freeways can also be obtained from 60304 Road Plates. This complex and the shopping street 60306 are pleasantly lit by a new glow in the dark lampposts.
